Great car, I bought my 986 S last year its also a 2000 car . Brake fluid will need flushing out. Do a thorough job, they are transformed by new fluid.

Hi all

I acquired my first Porsche earlier this year, a boy hood dream which has taken me far too long to materialise. It's a 2004 986s with only 57k and 3 owners; the first until later 2013, a short second owner and a 3rd from April '15. The last of whom used it for 2200 miles in the near 8 years owned but still had a minor service each year. The car is in great conditions but has a few niggles, inevitable in a 19 year old car. I've booked it a local indy for a full service and check over, especially the brakes which seem very weak; probably a consequence of such low recent use.

I've already bought some brand new OEM mats, fitted a CTEK battery conditioner and acquired an indoor car cover. I've managed to find a full set of Michelin PS2 in N3 spec to replace the current tyres which are dated 2013/14... Unfortunately they are on back order but should be here in the next few weeks.

I'm a sucker for OEM accessories; in particular I'm looking for the boot liners (front and rear).

I'm in Cirencester so will fall into both R16 (Gloucestershire) & R31 (Cotswolds). I'm looking forward to getting out and about and meeting fellow owners, especially at the Donnington Historic and Silverstone Classic...oops the Silverstone Festival...

See you around!

Welcome Greenman! Congratulations on realising your dream. I did the same yesterday when collecting my 2011 Boxster S.
