Hi all

Another new member !

Would be interested in any upcoming events/meetings. Just registered today so missed out on the 13th at Emberton.

Live in Milton Keynes and have a 1996 993 Carrera.

Cheers,

Ravi [:D]

Hi Ravi,

Welcome.

Approx once a month I put together an email newletter for region 10. If you send your email address to teardrop@zen.co.uk I'll add you to the mailing list and send you a link to a few of the previous issues.

Cheers

Andy

Hi Ravi - seems like R10 have lost their ability to welcome new members to the region ! [;)]

Anyhow, welcome aboard.

As Andy mentioned, we are a region that uses both the newsletter, word of mouth, and this forum (a little bit) to organise itself. If you get Porsche Post, then most of our forthcoming events are in there. We normally meet at the Navigation Inn - Stoke Bruerne on the 2nd Sunday in the month, but at this time of year, its so popular you'd need to get there on Saturday to park on the Sunday.

I'm sure our RO (Mike Pink) will be in touch when he returns from domestic duties, but in the meantime, just turn up to the next event, and don't be a stranger. Also, the region is always looking for helpful people to muck in when it comes to events etc.. If you have ideas (the easy bit) then if you can get people interested, book venue's, etc then it's a sure fire way to get involved. Or, you can just turn up - your decision !

Hi Ravi, welcome on board, look forward to seeing you at next event.

Hadn't forgotten how to welcome people, been avoiding this part of the forum as I don't own a pair of lycra bike shorts (though if you do then you're in good company with this lot).

R10/R10A is great I have to say, there's some good laughs around these parts so you should enjoy it.

cheers man

HI Ravi,

Just like to add my welcome too! I do own a pair of lycra shorts but now sadly lack the figure to wear them! Anyhow it's not all about bikes, mud and men - the ladies do turn up to our gatherings too! It is very much about the love of the marque, new or not so new.

Thanks for all the replies and the warm welcome.

Reading between the lines, I'm off to the Centre to buy my lycra shorts and polish up the bike ASAP.

Is this part of the initiation ceremony ?!!

Andy - I'll send you my email for the newsletter.

Many thanks all. [:D]

Is this part of the initiation ceremony ?!!

Graham is in charge of the initiation ceremony, which I believe involves a chicken's head and a yard of ale, but he will tell you more once we have you gaffer-taped into the chair....

Thankfully the scars from my own initiation are almost healed, apart from that dent where the horseshoe fell on my car (story for another time)

and kids are generally welcomed. Or if not, then generally people are polite enough not to mention that they aren't. [:)] Apologies in advance for any greasy little hand prints left on your paint work.

Blimey just like buses, nothing for ages then a whole load turn up all at once! [:D]

6 posts to the same thread in region 10 in 3 hours (a new record!)

Cheers

As Steve said, I am the current Regional Organiser. Welcome to R10. The speed of the internet makes life more interesting - I have only recently received the list of joiners from mid May! I will no doubt be sent your details next month.

Hope to see you at one of the next few meetings - on July 4th we are joining other Regions at ther Shuttleworth Sports Car day and we are having our Concours on 8th August at OPC Silverstone.

Regards
