Hi All, I have had all sorts of cars including 2004 Corvette Z06,Ferrari 348ts,Subaru 22B, Escort Cosworth, Lotus Esprit's and so forth.........I sold the Z06 recently and Cash in hand decided to go out 'car hunting' with a wide range of cars in 'sight' a Noble GTO3R a Honda NSX and a Merc 350SL. A Saturday or two ago I set off bright and early, first port of call 'Snippersgate' at Houghton Le Spring They had a Carrera 4S in Guards Red with superb alloys being mirrored stainless steel with flat wide rims, and 10 spoke alloy centres 'split rims' [315-25-19 tyres on the rear.....I have had some pretty low profile tyres but these take the biscuit.... suffice to say it looked Outrageous!] They told me a guy had been on the Friday night to view and was coming back to do the deal trading in his BMW Convertable. I asked to go for a test drive......sure enough on our return there was the fella leaning against his Motor waiting to buy 'his' Porsche. I got out strolled around the car, put my hand out to shake the Salesman's and said she's Sold. He was absoloutley Gutted!
Put my Private plates on [same day service now at St Marks house Thornaby...Excellent] Like Clarkson said on Top Gear "it's a Carrera with A BODYKIT!" illustrating his point with a Jordan type 'Model' with Breast Implants! Must admit I'm loving it.........I'm lucky enough to have a locked Garage to keep my 'Toy' in and a Mondeo as a work 'hack' does anyone know what wheels these would be......i'll post some pictures when I figure out how to turn the pixel quantity down ......I tried to post some but the files were to big..............Snippersgate do Porsche servicing they tell me using all the propriety parts filters fluids and the like.....at Independant type pricing

Welcome Kenny, sound like you got yourself a very individual car there [;)] is it a 996 4S or 997 4S?

I can thoroughly recommend Redline Racing at Thornaby for any servicing or maintenance etc. great bunch of guys who know Porsche's inside out and very reasonable to boot.

Where in the North East are you from? as you may want to tag along to one of the mini-meets we have from time to time and have a spirited drive out with fellow Pork owners.

Drive safely and enjoy the new acquisition.

Thanks for that 'C' ['Cableguy'.......wouldn't be a Sparky by any chance?] It's a 2002 996 Model.
Really like the GT2 bye the way......... saw a Basalt black one last weekend in Stokesley looking Good! Think mine could be enhanced by a Rear Spoiler along those lines on the other hand.................
I live in a Village close to Stockton and Darlo so basicaly the 'Cleveland' area. I read somewhere else on this site Re Redline for Servicing seems to be the way to go. Will look out for local meets
Cheers Ken

That'll be my car Kenny [;)] I'm often in and around the Stokesley area seeing mates etc.

I've had a little work done by Redline recently, they definately know there way around Porsche's and are very reasonable with their rates.

I'll give you a wink next time we have a local meet if your interested.
