Hi all

Another newbie here ...spent at least 10mins trying to come up with an interesting name ...(obviously failed)....anyhow thought I would just say hello to all ....I've been reading posts for the last few months now trying to convince myself a GT3 Mk2 was the right car for me ....so after much debate purchased the one below to add to my beloved 993 C4 also pictured....well at least I hope they are ...or this introduction isn't going to well [&:]..... hope to see you all soon as Dakota (Queensferry) is just a few miles away for me ......

cheers

Ian

Hi Ian,

Welcome to the forum and with nice cars too!!!
The next meeting is going to be a christmas dinner at the Dakota Eurocentral rather than South Queensferry (for December only). This is so our friends in the West can join us!!! I think they all get a bit nervous when they reach Harthill!!!!!! Anyway, it would be great if you can make it, just add your name to the 'DAKOTA GLASGOW 6TH DEC' thread. I'm sure you'll enjoy the banter!

Ian,

Nice cars - hope you have a good couple of garages for them!

Maybe see you sometime - I'm the "dundee" connection also also quite new to PCGB but look forward to seeing everyone at various events come the summer.

Talking of the summer you will be glad of your Porsche table on the back of your GT3 for the picnics!!!! (Jealous really!)

Enjoy the car....FB

Hi All

Thanks for the replies and kind welcomes to your site

Gotta996 - hi... I should be attending Knockhill on the 24th as my colleague is going with his new cooper s which should be fun on the tight track, I'll turn up with the GT for the briefing then head back to work for a while as we are moving offices but fully intend to tag along later, by that time hopefully everyone's cooked their brakes and i can pretend I'm quick for a while........

Frazer "" lol[:)]
picnic table attached to the rear...first thing wifey said was ''does that come off'' ...second thing was ...''can we swap the seats''....the car has cost me a small fortune so far, not actually running costs just the handbag and shoes to smooth things over...

Kim - thanks for the invite, just waiting on a few dates firming up but would love to make it along if i can ....heres hoping ....Poprock, nice cars ....love black porsches, as youd expect [;)]

hope to catch up with you all soon ..

thanks again!

cheers

Ian

Just had new discs and pads installed but still not happy with the feeling and noise they make"¦something's not quite right"¦need to get them checked out prior to Sat.

Hi Ian

Jane and I are both Dunfermline. Close enough to pop in for a few glasses of vino but far enough that she can't see what I get up to in the house!!

Ian

Hi mate yes it's my current and is undergoing some surgery for later this year to get it back in tip top shape.

Do you use the 993 for your daily?

Hey Paul

Yes was using the C4 as my daily and loved it, its a great drive, puts a smile on my face and has never missed a beat...its parked up at the moment as I'm using the GT3 to get around but going to lay that up shortly for the winter....then I'll be in a big"¦slow.. 4x4 thingy wishing spring would hurry up...

Hi AK

thanks for the welcome....I've not been into Dunfermline centre since they started all that work around the police station ....people didn't appreciate me crawling over the temp' ramps trying to keep the front splitter on the car....

look forward to meeting you soon also...

Cheers

Ian
