Another PADM failure

I know there have been a number of threads on PADM failures but here is my story.
My 981 S had a PADM failure in January 2022 before I owned the car and the right-hand side mount was replaced at a cost of over £1,100 to the previous owner.
I was enjoying a spirited drive with fellow R3 members last Sunday and the PADM warning light came on. I assumed that the left hand side had now failed. The car is nearly 12 years old.
I booked the car into my local OPC who rang to say that both mounts need replacing! It looks like the previous replacement only lasted 3 years.
Lucky for me that I have an extended warranty as the cost would be over £2,500. The OPC has also agreed to reset the wheel geometry which other members have said is required.
I intend to continue extending the Porsche warranty for as long as possible which I think is up to 15 years old.

Steve, I was on that run on Sunday (Grey 981BGTS with red roof) - the PADM possible failure, as well as seized PSE valves is one of the main reasons why like you, I have continued with extended warranty and plan to do so as long as possible. Not had either pack in yet, but the warranty is there in the event I need it. Hope you get sorted quickly and pain free!

Hi David,
Yes we have met before and I know your car. Great spec and glad to see someone else who loves a red roof!
I think the extended warranty is essential for piece of mind. This will be my second warranty issue in 16 months of ownership.
See you on the next run!
Steve
