anti roll bar bushes

Hi, I want to change all the anti roll bar bushes. What is the best option to stay OE or fit polyurethane ones (powerflex/superflex), car is standard 993 rs. what are the sizes you would need if going for polyurethane?

I have std ones on mine, but whenever things like anti roll bar bushes have needed replacing on other Porsches I have had i have gone to poly bushes with little noticable increase in harshness.

When I ran BMW M5s I changed the track control arm bushes for poly bushes (grunt from Australia believe it or not) which were cheaper than std and were no harsher. They made a big difference in that application to the turn in , braking and were more reliable.

Worth checking the "solidness" of the replacements as some polyurethne is harder than other!

I would certainly be interested to hear how you find the difference on RS.

thanks very much for the info. Porsche are being there usual cheeky selves when it comes to pricing and have doubled the price of the rear drop links. The rears are now £65 and the fronts £88. Very naughty when I bought a rear 9 months ago at under £30. Powerflex don't list a 23 so I have emailed them.
 
silver 7 i would stay with the standard bushes,the new ones will be more than up to the job.Porsche do a good job of matching up components!But powerflex etc may well be a lot cheaper.
I have competed with my car for many years on standard ones.The cup cars had the same bushes,only the rsr/gt2r was polyurethane mainly because the whole of the suspension was sold mounted and uniball etc.

Many thanks for this info.My car does run cup engine and gearbox mounts and the standard uniball top mounts etc, does that make any difference?

sounds all standard rs stuff apart from the eng & box mounts and makes no real diff .
Some cup cars run the very noisy solid gearbox mounts also,this then helped keep the engine and box more stable on lift off of the throttle,and also helped to keep the gearbox in the right place while changing gear into and outoff corners etc
The rsr and gt2 also run the solid rear sub frame mounts
 
thanks, new OEM bushes all fitted at the weekend plus drop links front and rear. The front bushes were very nasty as the saddles had corroded and worn the rubber. An easy job for once!
