So having some issues with my Vera ( 1999 2.5 986)

Pulled the management light on the other day and code read 02 sensor in front of Cat bank 4-6

So I have now replaced Both 02 sensors and in recent weeks have replaced MAF , coil packs and plugs.

Vera is still unhappy

Now what I did managed to do the other day was get some live data readings , So wondering if any experts could cast an eye and see if they could suggest next line of attack. I am thinking disconnect battery to reset values and check for Vacuum leaks and fuel pump pressure.

So here are the Values after a good 20 min drive and all up to working temp.

Fuel System 1 status - Flicking between CL /OL Drive
Fuel System 2 status - Flicking between CL /OL Drive
Calculated Load value - 1.2%
Engine Coolant - 94oc
Short term fuel trim (b2-s1) -0.8%
Oxygen sensor output voltage (b2-s2) 0.435v
Short term fuel trim (b2-s2) 99.2%
Short term fuel trim (b1-s1) 0.0%
Oxygen sensor output voltage (b1-s2) 0.435v
Short term fuel trim (b1-s2) 99.2%
Oxygen sensor output voltage (b2-s1) 0.760v
Air flow rate from mass air flow 3.40 g/s
Absolute throttle position 0.05
Commanded secondary air status off
Oxygen sensor output voltage (b1-s1) 0.015v
Engine speed 957rpm
ignition timing for #1 4.0
intake temp 41oc
Short term fuel trim B1 0.0%
Long term fuel trim B1 4.7%
Short term fuel trim B2 -0.8%
Short term fuel trim B2 8.6%

Any thoughts would be amazing?

Many thanks

David

I dearly wish I could help David, but beyond my experience I’m afraid. Without reference values, I think you’re going to struggle to interpret the results. Do you have a local ‘tame’ Indy who might be able to help with that?

Certainly it’s worth doing what you suggest to see if that helps, but if you’ve only got a DIY OBD2 diagnostic analyser you may need something more comprehensive (PIWIS or equivalent) to make progress.

Are you just getting a CEL or are there other messages?

Jeff

Why not get it diagnosed at a Porsche Indy,in the long run it will save you time heartache and by the looks money replacing stuff you probably dont need to.
Why not email Steve Winter at Jaz he is the Boxster Register Technical expert.
Hope you get it sorted.
