Any Information

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knows this car or has any information, I understand it is either 73 or 74. I suspect that it has been altered considerably. The person selling it advertised it as a carrera, and said that it is 2.4l with drum brakes. I noticed the PCGB logo and thought that someone might have some info.

Any infoor comments is greatly appreciated.

Nick,

he said that its a 73 and the vin no. is Jn1gaaz33u0006535,
Can you tell me if this makes sense, I have looked at few sites but this doesn't seem to make sense.

Ciaran

If the 1st 2 characters of the VIN are jn then it is a Nissan manufactured in Japan.

I believe all Porches begin WP, where W = Germany and P= Porsche
See here and you will find that VIN does not exist

Kevin

A 1973 Porsche (911T) VIN would be like this 911350#### Whilst a 1974 (911S) for example would be 911430####. All the earlier 911s start with 911 the next number is the year (in the '70's) the next is engine type(eg. 911/911S/ Carerra) the next is body type 0 for coupe 1 for Targa and the rest is the sequential number.

From the RAC vehicle check

Manufacturer Porsche
Model 911
Body type coupe
Colour Blue
Fuel type Petrol
Date manufactured 31 December 1974
Number of previous owners 16
Last owner change 06 August 2004

Looks like he made a mistake with the VIN

Thank you all for the information. Very impressive. I think I'll not persue it. I guess the car must have a pretty checkered history. I will continue seaching.

Thanks again,

Ciaran
