Any issues with Gen 2 Boxsters?

I'm aware of all the issues with the 986 & Gen 1 987 S's.

May be a little early but are there any reported issues on the early Gen 2 987 S's?

Only positive things in my experience, jsut abotu everything they changed is beeter.

  • Engine has a lot more torque, lower down the range and smooth delivery.
  • Fuel consumption slightly better over 30 but I had a 2.7 before, struggled to make 30
  • Quieter engine in normal use and in the cruise rising to a true 911 howl when you give it some gas.
  • One noticeable improvement for me was that it doesn't pink as my old 987 did on start up, reversing & pull away.
  • Brakes are a lot better, but I had the non S before that didn't inspire confidence
  • Radio, even the standard radio sound is very acceptable and at last a modern look and feel.
  • One slight downside is I found the new Michelin Sport tyres on 18in wheels a very hard ride compared with my previous car but that had 18ins with PASM. Whereas 19ins with Pirellis seems a better ride.
