Hi Everyone,

I'd really like to go to any local meets that there are around my way. London/Berks/Middlesex. It would be great to talk to some other owners as in the 3 weeks i've had the car i've only seen two other 944's.

I did get the nod from a chap in a B reg 911 Cabriolet but it's just not the same [;)]

maybe arrange some people going to a night at the ace? i wanna go at some point, i havent been there for years!

There's one this Saturday at Fatboys Diner. Details are available in the Region bit, from the PCGB site front page.

LO and welcome , can you give a slightly better idea where you'd be travelling from , your tag has quite a wide coverage there [;)].

On the Fatboys etc front , that May bank holiday one at Ace Cafe looks like it might be well supported, I'm not sure I'll have my car back fromPromax this weekend though [:(]

Regards Mas

Ha, yes it does a bit. Basically i live in Windsor and i work in Feltham (Middlesex) and London as well. But to be honest i absolutely love driving the car so i don't mind travelling.

I too am interested in having a regular 944 meet in the London area, thinking we should meet at Fatboys one weekend and then more regularly at the Ace perhaps... My car is off the raod at present but I'm sure I'll looking for any excuse to take it out once I get it back...

yeah lets do it, whats this fatboys about? is it on saturday you say? I got a free weekend the OH is at her families.

I think Ace Cafe is do-able for me in an hour and 20 as long as its evening
( two hours plus if not) it is on the A406 remember !
If fat boys is where I think it is the its a no no ( this is the one near Grenwich is it?)
as its an even worse journey. Isnt Ace a better venue anyway, it seems far more popular.

So my vote is for Ace over Fat boys if thats the whole choice [:D]

Cheers
Mas

You're in Region 19's area so it sounds like you should be heading for our meet, 1st Sunday of the month at the Bird in Hand on the A4 between Reading and Maidenhead, so just up the road from you. There are usually at least three 944's there each time. Come along and show us yours!

I know the Bird in Hand. I think i'll head over to that one as well. But i'm definitely free to do the Ace or Fat Boys this weekend if anyone else fancies it.

I will ask that no one comments on the Union Jack on the roof though. [:D]

You can ask [:D]

As an aside , The Ace Cafe Porsche night is on a Monday , why can't they have these things on a weekend , miffs me it does []

It's only been on a Monday for a couple of months, it was on a Saturday before. Not many people went.

It's always difficult, and the Ace isn't a Club event as such, but most people don't want car events on a Saturday night as that's usually family time. A weekday evening is easier to get a pass for. Monday is unseless for me, unfortunately, it's a shame the well-attended Wednesdays were changed IMO.

I couldnt agree more on all counts TBH.
I thought Monday was the worst possible change for me. Personally I would have thought a weekend breakfast or lunch meet one of the best compramises, forget weekend evenings as people go out with and without families. Weekdays you get up early for work maybe , get home late ish as I do then might need to take kids to a club or just get jumped on by the kids till bedtime lol. Plenty of people were very happy with the time/day for the Rutland meet for example ?

Mind you I'm off out for a curry with a few local friends in an hour or so [;)]

Regards Mas
