Interesting. How long have you been running it with the supercharger ? Any other mods required to strengthen other parts ?
Also interested if you've had any reliability issues and whther It is reversible...
Sorry I can't offer any thoughts as mine is unmodified but would be interested in hearing to others' experiences.

The downside of the kit is actually having someone good enough to tune the car as it has a piggy back UNI Q ECU. There are not many people who has the talent to do UNI Q tuning on an Air cooled 911. I eventually had my ECU re mapped to get the car set up right. The problem is heat generation on the rolling road. The really only way to tune the car is live on the road then do a single Dyno run to confirm gain. This has recently been completed and there is now lots of power through out the rev range.
Its a joy to drive.

Sorry forgot to answer your question.
The engine is completely standard. As the roots blower fitted is low pressure, 6psi at 4500 Rpm which drops to 4 psi (By design) at the red line the set up can be used on a standard compression engine. If i want to increase the boost then mods will have to be completed to reduce the compression ratio of the engine. I have a water cooled intercooler fitted to keep the intake temperatures down. Comparing to a Turbo which can run up to 1 bar, (14.7 Psi) this set up is very low pressure so can be used on a standard engine.
When I came to sell the car I advertised it for a year with the supercharger on - nobody even phoned during that time - I eventaully took the supercharger off and immediately sold the kit and car separately to two very happy buyers - the phone didn't stop ringinmg for the supercharger kit (so lots of people are prapared to add a supercharger to an existing car but no one wants to buy a car with it on - all very silly).

I'm hoping that someone with a Gt2 will let me have a drive, especially if it's got 6 turbos!.
They have got over the heat soak problem on the rolling road by installing a specific ventilation system designed to blow air directly into the rear engine bay and then extract underneath - the system was designed & installed by my company!

Many thanks for the feedback - must admit. It seems tempting... And good to know that 9M can handle the install as it is definitely beyond my level of know-how!
I like the idea of the low pressure as I wouldn't want to strain the engine excessively. Is it fair to assume that 9M can handle/coordinate ECU re-mapping ?
