Any tips on buying 958.2 Cayenne Turbo?

I've decided to trade in my beloved 3 door Golf GTI daily driver for a 2017 958.2 Cayenne Turbo. Found the one I want, deposit put down. Should hopefully be getting her in the next week or so, driving down to have a look later in the week (don't ask, I have an odd way of buying cars). Super excited.

As the title suggests I wanted to ask some advice from owners here - is there anything in particular I should check with the car before I drive it off? It's going for a full independent inspection & MOT and AFAIK it has full OPC history. Otherwise I'll take it to the lads who work on my GT4 to look over when I get it back up to Yorkshire.

Firstly, check and double check it does actually have a good service history, if well maintained the Cayenne Turbo is a pretty reliable beast. As well as engine oil services it’s also worth checking it’s had the transfer box oil serviced too, although there is no actual schedule for this it’s fairly cheap and very easy to do.

There was a few recalls on these, it’s always worth making sure they’re all up to date, one of the recalls I seem to remember was a problem with the retaining pin on the brake pedal, you can also check for any others here

Tyres & brakes can be very expensive so again make sure these are all good and the discs and pads are in good condition. Personally, I always check what brand of tyre is fitted, if it’s a cheap budget sometimes it also reflects on how the car was maintained, but not always the case.
