As per the title really, can anyone help me identify a KKK K27 turbo hotside ? I need to check it's suitable for my car before purchase, and unfortunately the seller can't help.

Mail me or PM with your e-mail and I can send pics of said item.

Cheers in advance boys . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Sorry Mike can't help but I'll ask questions instead!
Stock 944T are K26 - but there are 2 sorts - so what advantage does a K27 have. I imagine it will go faster but how much?
Trying not to consider the possibilities for mine!

Hang on Mike, you've not sorted your suspension yet but you're going for some more horses....??!![:D]

The standard 26/8 can flow enough with the standard piping etc to give you 300bhp & up to 350lb/ft torque, but I guess that isn't enough for you, you power crazed junkie?! [;)]

Got my first 944 mounted trackday on Friday - here's hoping it's dry!

Just been offered something Nick, and may start getting a kit list together for what I have in mind. Would be reasonable cost I think. Suspension will get done - no time right now but before Xmas she'll be all sussed up and had a full hit ofeverything service wise including belts. Now I'll have access to a workshop to do my bits I'm gonna do it all myself and not bother with Hartech.
Do you know if Lee (lemon) was serious about upgrading his ? As I'd happily buy his refurbed MO30 stuff for the right dosh.

Hope all's well your end Nick.

DavidL - K27 is bigger inlet side, just able to flow more air really for bigger bhp figures. Obviously a lot more needs to go with it for it to be effective - it's not a bolt on and forget upgrade to work properly.

Behave and stop encouraging me Mike [:D]

I am keen to upgrade at some point, but at the moment I just do not have time to get it sorted. It is busy with work for me at this time of year and I am away over dec/jan for nearly a month.

Realistically it will be April before I look at this again, as that is when the snow melts and my work finally slows up[:D]

Will let you know if things change sooner Mike

Boo - get it done Lee, you know you want to ;) . . . . . . . . .haha

OK bud, cheers anyway, looks like I'll be going for Koni then - as it's gotta get done before Xmas.

Enjoy your time away (even if it is work)

Mike

I think that historically a lot of K27 turbos were used in the US as the standard bolt on upgrade for the 944T. I know that Powerhaus still list it as their standard upgrade path:

http://www.powerhaus.com/944t.htm

For their 968 16v conversion they use a K29

Nowadays there are better turbochargers out there but if Mike has a chance of one at a very good price then it is still worthwhile

Yeah that's it really Paul - I know there's MUCH better out there, but cheap progress is always good ;) haha. It's only worth going this way though if it is gonna be cost effective - otherwise I'll just go forward with the K26 until I hit it's limits.

Fingers crossed for me - this may be the start of my very own slippery slope . . . . . . . . . . . haha
