Anybody got a spare £82k!?

Amazed at the asking price, I recall an English chap bought the car from Gmund and now it appears back in germany.....

I have a classified ad for this car from a 2003 edition of 911 & porsche world, where a London collector was offering the car for £39,950.

Trouble is at that value that car is only ever going to trvel from invester to invester.

I thought the word on the street from the last UK owner was that the car was going to be used and tracked.

What's wrong with these people.................These cars should be USED [:mad:][:)]

A friend tried to buy the car from that exact Advert and the guy wouldnt sell at the time...even when he was offered £45k for it (almost half price now). The car ws MOTEC'd but that isnt mentioned in the current advert.

Same guy had a Maritime Blue RSL that was pictured in that Ad if I remember correctly?

This seems likely as H&S has this car and a Maritime Blue Clubsport, the pictures of which were taken at the same place and which don't appear to be normal H&S photo locations! The price is about £44k and it doesn't seem to be much of a virgin!

Thats the ad, I have dug the April 2003 issue of 911 & PW out..

Quote;
"964RSR, Viper green, M003, 10,937km, brand new and original, private collection sale,FPSH, £39,995, Lhd, Extras
964RS, Maritime blue, 24,800km, FPSH, £34,995,Lhd, extras, Tel 07xx xxxxxx"

What is interesting is the £5k spread between a 10km clubsport and a 25km lightweight......It would appear to be north of £30k going on £40k difference now!

I think Thomas sold it the guy who had both the Clubsport & RSL originally, then it was sold to another English owner, then another English owner and finally ends up back with Thomas.

They always say what goes asround comes around hey!!

Pity that with 3 UK owners, over who knows how many years its done less than 2000 khm's.

Very interesting but not really surprising. It won't be long before we see the £100K CS.

I do hope this current price escalation will not result in our beloved RSs disappearing from the track or even the road.
