Anybody had their clutch replaced?

I'm about to have the transmission removed from my MY02 S to have the rear main oil seal replaced, for the second time, and I'm wondering whether I should be considering replacing the clutch while its all apart.
Car has done just over 30,000 reasonably spirited road miles.
Obviously we can check the condition of the clutch when it comes out but I'm just interested to see what mileages others are replacing clutches at.
thanks in advance

If it's any help I've done 3 times that on the clutch it came with. (I'm not quite ready for a bus pass either).

Comments from JCB seem very sensible, as long as you clutch still feels okay. If you have noticed that it has stiffened up and pedal weight has become significantly more then could be a sign that it's going to need doing at some point in the not too distant future.

Well, pedal weight is quite significant compared to your average non sporting car, but you'd sort of expect that. I'm quite used to it and only notice when I get in after driving say a courtesy car. Porsche Dealer has flagged up that clutch pedal seems heavy at two of the last three annual services, didn't mention it at the most recent service, which if anything presumably can only be diaphragm deteriorating which seems pretty peculiar on a low mileage car.

BTW I'm starting to sense a mild bit of roughness through the clutch pedal when depressed but I suspect this is me getting paranoid :).

Anyway will be able to have a look when it comes apart.
