Anyone else stalled their 997?

Ok, so you're all such great drivers, no one else has discovered this problem yet.
But I stalled my 997S a couple of days after I got it, and had trouble restarting. Ended up taking the key out of the ignition, and starting from scratch. Thought no more of it - new car, not used to it etc.
Did it again at the weekend and again found that I couldn't restart. Clutch down (obviously), gear in or out, wait ten seconds between tries. But until I removed the key - nothing.
Am I missing something here?

If you wait too long, then the immobiliser kicks-in.
But I thought this was set to 20 secs or so.
If you put the key in the ignition, but don't start the car, you can turn it to accessory position if you like, then after 20-30 secs turn the key, nothing happens.
You have to turn it back to off - I don't think you need to remove it.
I presume if you stall and wait before turning the key it will do the same.

On the rare occaisions I have stalled mine, just turning the key immediately saw it start (done within a couple of secs - clutch down still in gear, foot on the brake - not the 'correct' process I know [;)]).

At the R7 day at JCT600 in November, the dealer guy stalled the 997 he was taking us all out in and it did the same thing.

I seem to remember he ended up locking and reopening the car with the remote before he got it going again.

Obviously you are not on your own.
