Hi everyone,
"It is now August and although it seems a long way off our WOTY dates, if rooms are not reserved before the end of August, the hotel will take the them off the reserved list at the special price, and open them to all. If you have any questions see me at club night or contact me on 01283820514. Tony"
There's been a good response already, enough to make this trip worthwhile, so we are going ahead.
We have arranged with the Metropole for guests to phone the hotel direct and make their booking. Please phone the hotel reservations on 01597 823700 and quote "Porsche club weekend October 8th and 9th". They will require a non refundable £20 deposit per person to secure the booking. Single occupancy of a room will cost £85 per night overall. Once you have booked in please add your name to the replys below so we know who to include in the final distribution of meeting instructions, directions, maps etc.
We hope you can join us, we are planning some great driving roads and places to visit.
Pete and Tony
We thought a weekend away would be a good idea so we've started to put something together, and if theres enough interest we will go ahead and finalise a WOTY.
We would hope to start on Saturday 8th October, and offer the chance to stay for one night or two, based at The Metropole Hotel in Llandridod Wells. They have offered us "Rates of £75.00 per person, per night sharing a classic double or twin bedded room.To include: A 3 course dinner with 4 choices per course served in the main restaurant on Sunday evening and private dining facilities on Saturday evening. To include: Accommodation Full Welsh breakfast Use of the spa facilities Car parking VAT @ 20%"
An outline for the event would take in a meet on Saturday, followed by a run down via the Clee Hills or Long Mynd to a stop in Ludlow (Saturday antiques market) for tea and cake. Then onto Leominster and part of the "Black and White Village Trail" before heading to the Metropole. Saturday night group dinner. If you can stay for Sunday we plan a run out to Aberystwyth via Devils Bridge and Falls a stop over at the coast and back via the A40. If you must get back then a route via the rest of the "B & W Village Trail" with lunch at the Kings Head at Kington. (Please note. This may change). For those staying Sunday night we plan do the run to the Kings Head for lunch on Monday and back via Kidderminster and the M42.
If you would like to be part of this please let us know via this forum.

Hi Tony - We asked to have our names put down to attend the event but when we got home we found the dates clash with a pre-booked holiday. So unfortunately we will not now be able to attend.

Regards Chris and Kathy Belfield.
