Just wondering, as i am going along with 4 other cars and a motorbike (!) on the Thursday and coming back on the Sunday overnight.

My 944 turbo and a 964 in our group so far...[:D]

Can't wait!

There was some talk at our Scotland region meeting last night of a few guys going down, but nothing definite.

Planning to be at the Le Mans classic as on holiday in Brittany approximately 1- 1/2 hrs away for the week before. Hope to get there for the Friday and Saturday.

The year 2008 event is scheduled to take place over the period Friday 11th, Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th July.

Cheers,

I'm thinking of going for the 1st time this year it finishes the day before my 20th birthday so that'll be something special for the occasion I think.

The Classic is a fantastic event - I went in 2006

With paddock passes you can get in amongst all the cars - there's every model car you ever had as a boy! GT40's will never lose their appeal for me [:D]

..and the noise...no diesels at LMC [:D][:D]

I'm very tempted to go, would love to drive down and hey if others are then i can't get lost!!!
What kind of money are we talking for petrol and enterance?

I've booked via PCGB (Travel Destinations are the contact).

Costing approx £440 each including return ferries, PCGB campsite spot, entrance to circuit etc.

Food, wine, women & song are obviously at extra cost...!!!

Went 4 years ago, just after having sold my 964......[8|]

yes ive done that a couple of times but doing MRI trip this time only £233 each inc travel insurance, PCGB site best, a bit more secure and better toilets and breakfasts but a bit of a walk to the grandstands , MRI has a nice big hospitality tent with driver interviews and screens so its handy if it rains.....you pay your money ,take your choice..,

I will go with a crowd from work.

Got to be one of the most memorable trips I had last year, despite the lousy weather. It's a definite 'must do' for any Porsche enthusiast.
