Anyone have a 944 for sale?

After giving up looking - for now at least - for a mint 1984 924 (my first Porsche) I'm now considering a 944 (or 924S). Just so I don't overuse my '69 911T... Must be oval dash and prefer not an S. I also have a '70 911T for resto if anyone fancies a px. Anyone have/or know of anything?
Thanks,
Alan.

Hi David
I would JUST looking at that one! Must be one of the last Lux's, I might give 'em a call tomorrow. Missed a good Turbo just up the road from me when we were away in the Lakes. I just need something to alternate with the 911 and use when it's raining, although Julie thinks a new kitchen would be of more use [&:].

Hi Alan,
I wasn't going to advertise my 2.7 just yet but a couple of weeks ago I just couldnt' miss purchasing a 944 S2 Cabriolet with only 36000. (posted for advice on it a coulpe of days ago).
I have a 1989 944 2.7 Alpine White in excellent condition which I suppose I reluctantly ought to sell as I cannot justify 3 cars, my daily drive being a 1995 Audi A6 Diesel Estate 226000mls for the 86mile round trip commute.
The 2.7 has 116000 3 previous owners the chap before me (a TIPEC club member) had it for 8 years, was selling it due to medical reasons, and it was service regularly by PH Sportscars Shardlow. I was searching for my 1st Porsche since last Feb (04) till something suitable came up and purchased it last November.
The previous owner had S2 Design 90 wheels (new Dunlop tyres) and a Turbo Rear Valance fitted. I had a cat2 immobiliser fitted and have just had the cam/balance shaft belts/rollers done at ProMax motorsport, along with a Brake Pipe, & throttle cable - 1 strand was frayed! - ÂŁ500 bill
The day I purchased it coincided with a Healthcheck @ Sheffield OPC for pcgb Lincolnshire Region so I have a printout of this. It is taxed till Dec Mot till Nov & I was going to continue using for a couple of months till I finish getting my garage dry lined and the Cabrio tidied up for the summer.
I havn't sorted photos out for advertising it yet as I didnt expect to be in this position ie from no Porsche last year to a brace of 944's, but I could forward some if you are interested (I will be away next couple of days though!)
Price again not really thought too much about it but based on similar vehicles when I purchased it I recon ÂŁ4750 is realistic.
regards
Clive

Hi Allan,

D reg oval dash turbo any good? Down here in Hastings though...also have ProMAXed Autolux...probably the most powerful in UK. And finally rare round dash standard lux in prep.

There's also a 85 944Turbo for sale in the members for sale section - no response so assume it might still be available

Hi Alan,

I have an 88 Lux Guards Red, excellent condition, FSH, 110K, half leather trim, turbo alloys, 968 mirrors, remote alarm/immobiliser etc I will try and post some pics tomorrow. Looking for about 4K.

Let me know if you are interested

Cheers

Dan

I know of a very nice (white) 944 turbo s in North Leicester

low miles, great history, wheels are polished (need to be re coated) Mo30 suspension, sun roof, goes well, stops well, it all works correctly etc etc

Owner will take 8500, I think its a bargain compared to some I`ve seen but I couldnt bring myself to buy it at that price as I didnt want a white car

E-mail me for his details, hes a genuinely nice bloke and needs to sell it as hes bought an Ultima [8D]

What's wrong with an 'S' [;)]

My 944 is not formally advertised but potentially for sale to the right home.
Its a 1986 oval dash Lux 2.5, FPSH, garaged until 996 forced it onto the street, previous owners all known, 98k miles, every day useable, Baltic blue. E mail me on hugh.ross@ironsidefarrar.com if interested. I'm in Edinburgh, so no worries if this is too far from you.

Thanks everyone for your replies, just picked a 1986 Alpine White 924S from Andrew at Promax, maybe see you at Frontrunner?
Alan.

Oh no!

Not the courtesy car?

As thrashed by P Smith esq., loaded with four (well 3.5) big blokes, from cold, on a chilly winter afternoon. IIRC, it is good for 90+ but leans in the corners when loaded as above. That's just the sort of car you want. [:D]

That sounds like the one i crashed last year. must have had it on the jig to straighten it out, was like a banana. No idea how Andrew managed to get the roof back on without looking like a cut and shut.....

Great car, 60 in first gear too, well untill it ran out of oil that is.

Oi [;)]

Nothing was ever proved in court.

Anyway I've now found out that the new Promax courtesy car will be an S2 and 'should' be there ready for my service at the end of the month [:D]

I hope it's chipped and decatted by then too
