I have been hunting for this little screw cover. It is NLA. None of the breakers that have replied can help either.. but someone with a spares car will maybe be able to help?

..the little screw cover between the fog light and airvent..

Thanks!

I was in last week with my list, they are now NLA..along with cigar lighters, screw caps, carpet tacks, load cover hooks.. seems a few things are NLA now. Interestingly - I got a new tow eye cover for S2/Turbo for a grand total inc VAT of £2.71! I bought one online for bellaboots car last month and it cost £18 inc delivery! £2.71 for a new tow eye cover! Amazing how little some new parts cost - in most cases - less than the filthy used end-of-life parts from ebay breakers.

You did have to buy the whole assembly for a ciggie lighter at one point circa £60, looks as though the OPC spares are not as plentiful as they once were 2 or 3 years ago, myself and a couple of friends bought up a few crates of goodies a couple of years ago, what we did .not take was being scrapped along with the ,donor cars ??

I bought one of those screw covers a few months back (OPC) - it was a different shade of black (more like dark grey) and the prongs snapped when I tried to fit it as the plastic was so brittle. It was about £1.50 but even at that price was a waste of money.

So, if anyone has a spare - I'm 2nd in the queue behind the OP.[:D]

I bought 2 in Burgundy for my Silver Rose last year and they were as you say James £7.00 each for 2 little bits of plastic []

Sounds crazy but with the dash parts you should heat them with a hairdryer when you remove or fit them. They can be quite brittle and they are not designed for removal. The back of the trim panel for the switches, for example, have very fragile tabs.

I asked my OPC for this part and they said it was no longer available.

This is black in every car (the black strip that runs along the entire front of the dash), maybe you are thinking of a different part.

Just checked and they are black but they were for my silver Rose [:D]

They were around 50p a couple of years ago, on the brittle note, I bought some brown interior screw caps from OPC and when I come to use them every one of them was brittle and cracked, they had probably been sitting on a shelf exposed to sunlight for 10 years.
when I speak to my OPC about parts he lets me know when they are NLA not with these why I enquired about the price recently.

That is odd. I sat down with the parts guy at OPC Glasgow and we went through a list of around 8 items I needed. A couple of them were no longer available and that screw cover was one of them (cigar lighter was the other NLA item), none in the UK and NLA from Germany.

Thanks for your offer Ken. I have a breaker chap supplying a few bits and bobs and I think I have secured one.

Realised Id bought another one of these from my OPC a couple of months back (it was in a box with some other parts) - it was a new £7 item.
This time was very careful and its in without breaking - its still dark grey rather than black though.
