Anyone heard about possible allocations of 991.2 GT3's from Scottish OPCs?

Speaking not enquiring with Aberdeen yesterday ... very limited plus you`d have to have an extremely positive history with the marque / dealer to be invited.

Cap in hand, tug the forelock and lick the boots. The speculators and flippers will be wetting themselves with excitement once more.....oh, I forgot, the PCs are avowed to cutting that practice out. Any bets as to when the first £150k ad appears on PH?

Indeed ... I was politely and firmly listed all the prerequisites for joining the exclusive GT club, took a while [:D]

No such requirements needed ... to pay them well over delivery price for the GT4 in the showroom :ROFLMAO:

Consoled myself with a 100 mile trip in the CR ... more than enough smiles per mile per £ !

Do you have a confirmed build slot? And if so, do you mind me asking from which OPC?
I think you may have misconstrued my re reply I do not have a slot ...just my spec if I was going for one .
Unless you are the chosen one just like Jose M [:)]I doubt many if any will get the opportunity to buy one new and certainly would not pay the inflated price they will go for .
It is a shame for the real enthusiasts

What I have heard is that Porsche are trying (wont be easy) to weed out the speculators and ensure as best they can that cars go to enthusiasts. That will mean clients they know well and can trust to keep the car. In short if you have a good relationship with the dealer, and well known to them for sometime and have had a deposit down for god knows how long. Then you are in with a chance.
You can speculate what the meaning of relationship is, but things like, how many cars have you bought from your OPC, do you get your car serviced and maintained by them, do you have a GT car already, bla bla bla, Its a pain for the dealers as I suspect they have lots of good clients that all want the same small allocation and can only keep a few happy.

Porsche are not allowed to sell new cars above list, They can sell 2nd hand cars at a margin above list - i.e market value. They sometimes get cars returned from customers that have bought the car and changed their mind and these cars can be above list.

As far as I know, GT3's and the new RS if it comes will be limited supply to keep the premium brand and exclusivity of the Marque. How many they are making I have no idea.

I have been hoping for a new RS for 3 years now but nothing firm, nothing confirmed and still no date if they are even releasing one.

I expect Porsche will have some success in reducing the amount of people that flip cars but there will be some that still end up on pistonheads at silly prices and as there is likely to be even less flipping of cars I can see the silly prices being even higher.

On a positive note, The new GT3 looks and sounds stunning and anyone lucky enough to afford and get one will be a happy bunny !

regards
Scott.

I was between the GTS and GT3, and had a deposit in for around 6 months. I opted for the new GTS as the GT3 too much of a racer for my needs (though I do think it's an amazing machine). I pick up the GTS tomorrow, but was told yesterday that PCG only got an allocation of 9 cars for 991.2 GT3. They had 26 deposits in as of January, so guess there will be a lot of unhappy campers.....
