Anyone installed 718 clear led side indicators on their 981?

Hey all

Looking around, it appears that a few 981 folks have replaced their side indictors/repeaters with a 718 jobby - for example one of these:
https://www.design911.co.uk/p/led-sequential-side-marker--clear-porsche-9911---9912---981-982-boxster-cayman/

These provide both a visual (cosmetic) improvement and also have a functional benefit in having a nice clear "sequential" led effect :)

As these are genuine Porsche, albeit for the 718, would this still be deemed a "modification" in terms of the warranty? I assume it would but thought I'd check.

Cheers

Those in your link aren't genuine Porsche, they seem to be from a company called Nordlight.

I would assume they would be classed as a modification for your insurance and also for Porsche, although Porsche warranties aren't like on/off switches. Modifications generally invalidate any claim where the modification could or has contributed to the part failure e.g. if you remap your car and add 75bhp then Porsche will not pay out if your engine goes pop.
