Anyone insure on street in London

Hi,

Renewal time! Lancaster insure me for on street in SW11. I have a steering lock and a good cover, well secured with strap and bungees etc. I don't have alarm or immobiliser as insurance co. didn't require it and it drained the battery too much. I've had a renewal quote of £700. Most insurers won't touch me as SW11 and no garage. Any ideas who'd be worth trying, or any comments generally. Cheers.

I have an 83 SC and insured with Lancaster in London also in SW11 parked on the street etc. The car is alarmed and immobilised. Used to be with Carole Nash but changed as they have a limited mileage of 6000. Rang round loads of companies but they all have limited mileage and I do more than 6000 miles. If you find any companies better than Lancaster I'd be interested in knowing.

Hi there,

Have you tried Adrian Flux 08700 777 888? Just changed from Footman James to them. Both were good for me.

Rgds,
Andrew

Well seing as I paid more than that and mine is garages I'd take it - assuming that's a full / unlimited policy. Expensive if not. Have you tried Carol Nash pr Liverpool and Victoria

Previously used Peart in SW6 and NW6. Were the only option when I looked. Circa £1,000 with full NCD yadda, yadda.

Yup, I think I've seen your car on Shuttleworth road, very nice. I ended up going with Lancaster for around £660, which seemed about the best I was going to get these days...

thanks

Mine is with Firebond at around £600, but they did just say that a renewal is going to be about the £500 (first time I can ever remember my insurance going down!). Mine is garaged though, but I do get limited mileage to 12,000 and a agreed value as well.

Might be worth a try.

Lewis.
