Anyone know J454 TMO ?

Hello Everyone ,

I have just bought 1991 S2 J 454 TMO , 193000 miles ,no history, from a dealer who assured me he was waiting for the history to be sent on to him. Not sure I believed him but sale price reflected absence of history and as it drove so well I took a chance !!

I've written to last recorded keeper ( of 4) asking if they have any history but have not received a reply.

So just wondering if anyone knows anything about the car ? It seems to have been looked after , no rust or fluid leaks, good oil pressure. I've changed the belts, oil and filter . New discs , Pagid pads and motul fluid. Cat bypass, waiting for KN air filter and Promax chip to be fitted.

I bought it as a track day car and it's had one outing to Brands in the wet where it performed impeccably. I had intended to strip it out but it is so clean and tidy inside and drives so well on the road that I am now reluctant to do this.

Its a silvery metallic blue, blue on V5.

4 previous keepers , last in Hampshire.

No, doesn't sound like mine - not a Turbo , no obvious faults except driver's side bolster worn thru , commensurate with the high mileage.

Speedo reading 10% high, indicated 130mph is true 117 on GPS ! Maybe that reduces true mileage by 19000 ?

Colour is more grey than blue , changes with the light .
