Anyone looking for a used GT3 Gen II

Had my usual weekly update from www.top555.co.uk and they appear to have a white GT3 GEN II with not many miles on it POA, so expect someone is trying to cash in on limited availability although I'd expect if identified the short lived owner who passed on the car will not be on the Porsche christmas card list. But if someone wants a barely used GT3 fill your boots.

Now 3 of these on PistonHeads. Both the other two have £10k premium asking price. There was a forth, which was on for list price. Unfortunately it's often the speculators that seem to get the allocation. That does not include Bob F who is a geniune buyer and actually intends to use his in the manner for which it was made.

well
i have to say im pissed off with guys/dolls getting cars like this and then selling them on , i dont know how they can get these cars as my opc are very strict. ihave paid my deposit months ago and so have people , state genuine people have done the same and are still waiting on their cars. Maybe porche should audit their system as dictitated as per my opc, mess with us and u will not get another car. For the geninuine porsche person having to give some greedy ba....d a 10,000 mark up is a disgrace. please dont buy these cars.

A resident in my area speculates on cars like this.

On the positive side, we get to see some real exotic cars tootling about, Zonda F and Merc McLaren to name but two.

One of the adverts for a car with 500 miles stated "Full Service History".

How expensive is a GT3 to run if you have to service it every 500 miles? [:D]

I have voiced my opinion earlier and maybe need to subdue my opinions . Reason, meet a guy who just loves porsches and has never owned one. Fourtnately he now is in position to be able to buy one and has asked me to advise. Explained to him im no expert but have owned about five porsches. I started out with 20,000 gbp, 85 , 930 turbo, 993 turbo, 997 4s, 997 turbo, 997gt3 gen 2. This guy has the dough to buy 997gt3gen2 and wants a car now. Feel guilty but have told him to look at internet.

Please don't subdue your opinion - this is more or less an open forum (obviously rules on slander or any other risk of being sued for defamation apply). We thrive on members having different views that they present in a well thought out and logically argued fashion - as well as the emotive and personal, "well thats how it is..." way. But it remains that members do respect each other even with different views.

I worry we're in world now where any one who differs from the exact accepted consensus is deemed to be unworthy, against society or an outcast.

Here on this forum, people seem to maintain tolerance and in fact encourage a wide range of views. The forum being better for it.

Except of course the universal rule that Derek is always wrong[8|] Sorry Derek, only joking.

Please do express your views and be prepared for others to have different views, push them strongly but still like and respect you after a difference of opinion.
