anyone looking for tyres? - this may be of interest

Just got round to replacing the rears on my C2 - after some time on the computer-ma-bob I found National Tyres and Autocare offered as good deal as anyone I'd heard of before..noting that they have their own website and other tyre providers use them as 'fitting partners'. To find other sources, I opened Yellow Pages only to find a code in the National Tyres and Autocare ad that gave 10% discount - and the 'starting price' was the same as on their website. As 'icing on the cake' I qualified for the company's tyre guarantee that means they will repair the tyre during its legal life for free, or give an allowance against a new tyre, depending on how much tread remains on the damaged one. The guarantee leaflet specified eight different manufacturers but not Bridgestone (the tyres I chose) - but that didn't seem a problem.

Hope this may save someone a few pounds!

Are you sure they're the best price? Just did a search for my rears (17") which are normally about 160 GBP and it came up with

Michelin Pilot Sport 2
MN PIL SPT PS2 N3 94Y
Fitment: Porsche »
Load Index: 94
Speed Rating: Y
£227.53 inc VAT Fully Fitted (tyre only) !! Ouch.

Hi

They were competitive- I did notice that the Michelins were more expensive than Bridgestone..I wanted all four tyres to match. The cheapest price I found involved buying the tyres from one company that would send them to a garage for fitment..I avoided that in case there was a problem and there would be a dispute over which party was at fault.
