anyone used chrono stopwatch ?

oldtimer

PCGB Member
I have a 997 C2S , with the sport chrono thingy. Tried using the stopwatch laptimer facility for the first time recently.....
apart from the fact I nearly left the road trying to operate the selections while driving (!) , I only managed to stop / start the timer . Never managed to find the combination of actions to store any measued 'times' or 'laps' or 'intermediate times'

Can anyone advise what you do to store a series of 'laps' as described in the manual ?
This would be very useful [;)]

Used it once or twice but never stored the data. The manual says that there is a prompt after timing has stoped asking if data is to be stored - but I guess you knew that.

I was copying some info from a US handbook for Gary so while I was there I also copied the US instructions re the chrono operation, but not sure if this is of any help.

I don't know John! All the gear - no idea!!![:D][:D][:D]
RTFM i'd say!
Hint - use the right hand side rotary knob on the centre screen and you can enter into all the drop down menus.
Warning - do this when you're parked, or you WILL end up in the bushes!
Cheers

Yeah graham - its pathetic isn't it [] ....I did read the manual first but like a lot of tech doco it seems to be written by someone that hasn't tried doing it. The whole PCM/satnav system is not really meant to navigated round while driving !!!
Will venture out and report back when I've cracked it - the first attempt was on a trackday ( where else would you want to time laps ) but I'll say no more as no one is supposed to be timing themselves on a trackday. PS the car goes surprisingly well for an overweight 'kettle' on track , brakes work , engine pulls , pirellis grip [:)]

I'm sadly the same as John, the one time I was going to use it, with the pressure of everything else going on I completely baffled myself [:(]...
Mind you even worse, when on a track day I forgot to activate sports mode.. I'm bad [:-]
