Anyone want a 964RS

My friend Ferg is putting his 964RS up for sale soon. It is a bit like the Baron, apart from the fact it does exist and isn't a figment of myself and my tech's imagination, LOL.

Guard's Red, 53k kms, recent engine rebuild, cage, dosh spent. Email me or register interest and I'll supply ferg's email.

He wants 32k for it... the market may say whether this is under or over priced.

As for the Baron Watchers amongst you (MELVIN the MERKIN MAN), an MoT emissions failure for smoke hasn't been easily cured after the restoration, so the engine will be fully rebuilt. Some 'black shell bearings' and other goodies will be going in, whatever the feck they are!

Hey Dom. Why don't you buy it and you can leave "the imaginery world of badgers and the baron" behind you.

Do you have an ETA for your car or is it now in storage for the winter?? [;)]

Best idea yet, Yoda -buy it Dom.....

Nice as it is, I don't want another Guard's Red 964RS... there is only one Baron!!!!

The Baron will be worth the wait. It will be running on cup suspension and have all sorts of mods. Melv, you'd be welcome to inspect it, should you wish to see what Recaro seats look like in a 964 [:D]

Dom,

I'm interested in uprating my suspenders to Cup spec....would you be willing to share with me the spec of yours and how it varies from what I'm assuming I have as standard RS spec.

What reading I've done suggests that the cup cars ran Bilstein Cup shocks with Eibach progressive rate springs. Also I understand the Cuppies ran uniball top mounts though I'm not sure whether RS run these as standard.

many thanks

Jim, give my tech a call. He knows all the nuts and bolts stuff. He is Andy Fearns at AmD, Bicester, mobile 07730 989895. He knows his nylon bushes from his uniball top mount retaining circlip gudgeon pins.

Hi Tat. I know I want to sell you one of my cars, but if you buy Fergs I guess you are anyway. I sold it to him. If you want to see any pics of the car they are still on my web site.

Yup, Paul and his compatriots H&S in Germany really are the one stop RS shop!!!

Highly recommended - in fact I was recommending them the other day to a chap after a 993RS. [:)]

Hi again:

Dom - thanks for the introduction to Ferg.

Paul - I've looked at Ferg's car on your site, and it looks pretty clean. I believe it's had some work done since he bought it from you. Can you say how it compares to the pink car your showed me a couple of weeks ago? I'm still very keen on the pink one - I would already have bought it off you if it was any other colour!

Thanks for all the advice I've been getting.

tat

Hi Tat,

Thats a difficult question for me to answer, Ferg wants to sell his and I want to sell the Rubystone car. Both cars have the same mileage, similar condition inside and out, wheels freshly refurbed on both, etc, etc. The best bet is for you to see both and compare for yourself. No offence but after meeting you and discussing your likes / dislikes you definately want a car at the MINT end of the market. You will struggle to find something under £30k you are happy with. You wont have any nasty surprises or immediate bills with either car.

Immediate differences are obviously the colours and one has a full cage the other doesn't. They both even make the same 284 bhp.

Paul

Your comments above show you to bea real credit to the motor trade and I had discovered that myself. You were honest enough to tell me that a car I was considering buying was probably a good buy (I am more convinced than ever now i have owned it 6 weeks [:)]) when you knew that if I didn't buy it I would probably have got you to source me a car. It is no wonder that so many recommend you. A well deserved reputation, I think [:)]

Thanks for the great comments guys, you're starting to make me blush though, so calm it down a bit. [:D]

Wot an honest car dealer!!!!!! Keep your right foot down.. Well done Paul you deserve the accolades!!

P.S.Have a look at The Ring in the snow on Rennteam.com

Sorry to butt in, Paul,( RSR) did we meet at Oulton on the RS day in March, I had a stock looking 3.2 cab in GP white which was modded and we had a wee chat - Mike from Glasgow.

Yes we did, Hi Mike andwhat a surprisingly quick 3.2 cab you had, a real Q car.

Did you ever buy that 2.7 replica in the end or are you still looking for something suitable for track?
