Applying rear 'Porsche' sticker

Hi,

Sorry another boring question about decals... As my S2 is currently without the Porsche rear sticker, I ordered a new one (I know some people leave them off but I actually like it, and its an original item..).

Any tips (again) on getting this looong sticker on the car properly?

Once again your help is appreciated...

Edd

Use plenty of water with some washing up liquid in it and slide it into place then squeegee out any air bubbles. You'll need to leave it for a few hours before you can use the car; ideally overnight. Don't take the front paper off until it's had 24 hours to cure then do it carefully so as not to lift any of the lettering.

Thanks Fen, I notice the front paper is marked with a line through the S, I guess its the centre of the sticker, does it go on in one piece?

Cheers

Edd

I've not fitted the actual sticker you have so I can't be specific (I've done "Turbo" on the front wing, "Carrera" on a 964's sides and stripes on a Mini bonnet). I thought the script was supplied in 2 parts from Porsche (left and right) and actually sold separately, though I don't know where I got that info from so it could be wrong. Must be if you have a genuine part.

If there is marking on the paper it will be to line up with something or to mark the centre as you suggest. I'd check photos on here / Google images and get a feel for the gap between the script and the bottom edge then just make sure you get it straight. Side to side is also important of course, but again you can determine the distance the pinstripe should be from the end of the panel from photos or by calculating where it needs to be to be centred.
