Please PM me or add your name to this thread if you would like to attend and I'll forward your details to Mark. Sounds like it could be fun!

Kim

I have decided to try and arrange a very informal and relaxed gathering of fellow car enthusiasts which would be potentially be on a monthly basis. It is an idea to try and bring together a monthly meeting during the better months of the year for "˜Cream Tea' at a relaxed, yet unique venue.

Just to see if there will be any interest in this idea, I have booked the stunning and exclusive venue of "˜Carberry Tower Hotel' which is very close to Dalkeith, just off the Edinburgh City By-Pass and only 5 minutes drive from the "˜Sytner Group' Showrooms at Fort Kinnaird.

The other hotel I would be using, with the intention of alternating each month, would be Kinnettles Castle Hotel, near Forfar.

The reason that I would alternate each month would be to save on the journey times for any friends coming from further North.

The plan will be to meet at Carberry Tower around 1pm on Sunday 14th April 2013. The cars would all be parked in a reserved area in front of the Castle, where we would then be seated together in one of the stunning Castle Rooms.

"˜Cream Tea', consisting of Sandwiches, Scones and Tea and Coffee would be served at a cost of £9.95 pp

As I have mentioned at the start of this e-mail, these meetings are purely to bring friends and fellow car owners, no matter what the marques of cars, together for a relaxed chat with food in beautiful surroundings.

Could I ask that anyone wishing to attend on the 14th April reply to Kim or add your name to this thread along with your email address by no later than Friday 22nd March 2013.

I look forward to seeing you all again soon

Kind Regards

Mark

Please note that this has nothing to do with my previous involvement with Supercar Ecosse

Hi Brian was 30 years born & bred in East Kilbride with my family still there. I still have cause to visit 6 days of the week for work and golf at EKGC. Never really thought of myself as a weegie until I moved out here to West Calder but everyone here talks about this guy Ken who I've still to meet ;-) Anyway enough with the reminiscing, the drive will be good for your car and funnily enough can't think of anywhere in Easterhoose that matches Carberry Tower more like High Riser Towers.

Small world indeed Kim. I took Mrs C for a spin on Saturday evening when i got home and came across a guy in a guards red turbo down at Kirkton Campus. I've lived here for 13 years now and never seen any 80's 911's and now there popping up all over the place.

Tea and Scones ...how posh reminds me of the old saying in Glasgow when you visit a friend...... Come in and have your tea ....Edinburgh come in you'll have had your tea [:D][:D]
