Just found out the price of the Gala Dinner at the 50th Anniversary Event in September £75 PER HEAD! Our glorius leaders have lost the plot.

Sorry Guys - here is two REGULAR supporters of the club that will not be attending.

Soz but no.

Accommodation on site £70 per room or at the nearby 4 pillars is from £98.

This is part of my point, The cost of 1 meal is more than it is for a twin room bed and breakfast. On top of the dinner, bed and breakfast you still have to buy your tickets for the events on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. All in all it is a very expensive weekend.

Can you enlighten us a to why the very high price, thanks
To keep [&:]the great unwashed away from the Old boys dinner...... maybe.. possibly..

In reply to Gary & Gordon

I really dont think the club are discriminating in any way but I do think the high price is something to do with the number of high profile guests attending for free, this is only my assumption by reading the questions asked in this thread posted elswhere on the forum (the questions were ignored & unanswered) so we are only left to come to our own conclusions.

Sorry, Gordon, we cannot enlighten you on the price for attending the gala. This event has been organised by the Board of Directors and club office staff, not us.

This club/board has an amazing habit of doing this....

You cant recover the costs if you have priced yourself out of the market.

and non paying special guests should come out of the reserves........
