On our meet this month we have

Mr John Moody President of the Midland Automobile Club who will deliver a talk on the History of the Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb". He will cover the very early days and the pre war detail and end up with the current competition format which may be of more interest to us Porsche enthusiasts, followed by questions and answers.
Has you all know Shelsley Walsh is one of, if not the oldest race track in the UK and only a stones throw from our new meeting venue the Hundred House.

Let's see if we can get a good turnout for this event.

Lesley and I should be there as we are back in the UK by then. Sounds interesting anyway.
Cheers, Ian Crosskell

Three or four years ago, Shelsley were asking for sponsorship "purchasing one square yard of track". I arranged for several Regions, including R13 and R9, for which I was then also RO to purchase one. I will bring along our Certificate for you to see. Also I arranged for the Club to "purchase" the full width Finish Line, two yards deep.

We are of course, 'owners' in name only, as the legal ownership, remains with Shelsley. But, the spirit is there in helping to maintain this great Site.

As an MAC member and frequent visitor to Shelsley, I didn't know PCGB "own" the finish line! I would love to see the certificate.
