Are Caymen colours boring or

Cuchillo

New member
Yes, I too found them all boring ... In the end took a shot in the dark and speced a new one with macadamia metallic without even seeing one in the flesh! Luckily it turned out ok

have I just spent too much time looking at them and trying to decide which colour I like best.
Just starting out on my road trip to get a used caymen later this year.....probably a Gen II 2.9 model. Trying to decide which colour to get and have reached the point where none tickle my fancy.
My current car is silver so I'd like a change. My first thoughts were grey (Meteor or Atlas seem fine) but there aren't too many around. I'd go for a ruby red but this colour appears non-existant at the minute if current used stock is anything to go by.
Don't fancy Black as it's a nightmare to keep clean, ditto blue. Not keen on guards red or white and the wife has put her foot down about speed yellow.
Did anyone else suffer from colour fatigue? and how did you overcome it?
cheers

atlas grey worked for me but pretty tricky like black to keep clean-meteor better for that. shame your wife doesnt like speed as it looks abs fab!!

Can you post a picture, I think it is a great colour!

I went for silver, but I see you've discounted that. Before I ended up ordering new I spent some time looking for a used 2.9, and black seemed to be by far the most common colour. I like the look of black but I live in a devon village so dirt/mud is an issue! Did see an orange one with black wheels a few weeks ago, which looked wicked.....

Still hands down my favourite colour, hands down, Cobalt, now replaced with Aqua.

Had it about a month Dylan, came from Hartech, took a while to grow TBH but it's a keeper :) Are you going to Silverstone Classic? Alan/Julie

ORIGINAL: marlin Do Porsche still do any colour you want for a price ?
Absolutely. "Colour to sample" its called and its not actually much more money than normal the metallic costs - which itself is about £2k! Mind you, you'll have to wait longer for the car.

Hello, Have not yet had a chance to take any pix of the car ... When the weather has been good, I have been stuck at work, and when I am free the weather turns to poo [] I will definitely post some pictures as soon as the good weather and my free time coincide [:D]

I like it myself, but isn't it discontinued now or about to be? I guess you still get it as a Colour to Sample if they did.

There is only one colour to get... RED !!!!! Be all and end all LMAO,,, Sorry, this is purely my own choice and should not be ahdered too. But RED.... Chris

I went for speed yellow and receive compliments wherever I go , except from a best friend whom, when I asked her if she liked my yellow Porsche replied : " To me honest Bob - NO " I have stuck a couple of yellow "46" stickers on the rear screen. Let me have instructions how to post a pic and I will happily do so.

Here is a link to a blog with some really nice pictures of the macadamia. I pulled the trigger after seeing this blog. [link=http://www.autodetailed.com/blog/?p=294]http://www.autodetailed.com/blog/?p=294[/link]

Red does look good on a Ferrari for sure lmao.. Perhaps it was this very same thought that drove me to Guards Red on the Cayman. Not looked back since and have a huge cheesy smile on my boat race 24/7... Yellow on the other hand is just stunning !!!!! But the wife was a bit less complimentary, so Red it is. Chris

i like silver... especialy when ive just spent all day waxing it in the garage .. looks stunning in the garage but not that good outside.. seems to lose its sheen
