Are front wheel hub studs removable?

I am trying to put a 15mm spacer and want to put longer studs in the hub but it seems like the studs won't budge. Do I need to buy an aftermarket hub? (which also means buying new wheel bearings)

Yes you can get the studs out of the hub, but you'll probably destroy the hub in the process as the steel studs and alloy hub like to corrode together over the years.

Use a puller - as the center stud winds in it will push the stud out the back - this can be tricky to get the puller jaws to hold onto the hub so that the center stud stays straight on the wheel stud. Other option is to remove the hub so you can place a socket behind the hub (large enough for the wheel stud head to fit through) and use a hammer to dislodge the stud. Use a nut of the proper thread on the end of the stud to keep from spreading it out while hammering it. The risk of damaging the hub is reduced using the socket method but you may need extra hands to support the hub while you bash the stud. As per Colin - it sounds like liberal use of a penetrating oil would help.
