Are Gemini alarms any good?

My 3.2 has a Gemini thatcham 1 alarm fitted to it.I need to get another remote for it,but before i do,has anyone else had any problems with gemini alarms(all the alarms i have had in previous cars allways caused me problems,and i have ended up removing them!)

Hi Andy,

I also have a Gemini alarm on my 3.2. I bought a new fob as mine wasn't working (tried new battery first) and then after a couple of months the new one failed as well. They replaced it foc and it has been fine ever since, approx 2 years.

Andy... Gemeni alarms are ok but if you can afford to switch to a Cobra, Porsche fit them as standard (rebrand them to say Porsche).
I had some nasty serpi star alarm so changed to COBRA asap.
The alarm is Cat 1 and is not flash/fancy but the systemis rock solid never fals sounds and has low voltage drain and batt back up.
