Are onboard computers standard?

Are onboard computers (you know the mpg/distance left kinda of thing) standard on all UK 993's?

It became standard on the S and the Turbo I think.

You can retrofit it, which I am doing, although the plug for the back of the updated rev counter is difficult to come by.

Anybody got one lying around?

It wasn't standard on the C2S--though it may well have been on the 4S which was full turbo spec--except for the turbo.

Sorry, meant the 4S, I keep forgetting about the 2S, even after talking to a 2S owner on Sunday[&:]

Always thought that the 2S was just a way for Porsche to get rid of extra bodies it had lying around with the imminent arrival of the 996, as all it did was add weight and not even give the benefit of the uprated brakes!

How easy is it to retrofit the computer?
Are all the wires there behind the dash?
I would be interested in doing if it isn't too much hastle.

Go to here http://p-car.com/diy/obc/ and it gives full instructions and what parts are needed.

The one thing I am still trying to get my hands on is the plug for the back of the rev counter as it is different from the standard one.
