Arley Hall 2012 Regional Event

During a committee meeting after the regional monthly meeting last night the committee decided that the Annual Regional Event would be going ahead at Arley Hall on Sunday 9th September.

So the date to remember is 9th of the 9th.

Picking the day of an F1 Grand Prix can't help the turnout. All it takes is a bit of bad weather forecast plus the temptation of the Grand Prix and the two will combine to keep some people at home.

Well, picking the day wasn't down to us, its the annual Arley Hall Classic Car Show to which we are invited to attend.

Oh OK. I wasn't aware of that as it was part of their car show, as it wasn't in the past. I'm looking forward to it all the same.

Unfortunately it always very difficult to avoid date clashes. Since deciding on the Arley Hall date, 'car fest north' (Chris Evans) has been set for the same weekend. There was no way the committee could have planned for that happening. We just have to accept that there will always be clashes and decide which we want to go to.
