Armrest Hinge Broken "AGAIN"!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guest

New member
Hi Guys

I had a mishap last night when I leant over to use the bonnet release catch and clean ripped off the top of the centre armrest. This is the second time I have done this (I hear you all say tut tut).

Is there any way to repair this, or is it going to be a case of buying another one AGAIN?

Best regards

Phil

Phil I have seen people replace this hinge with a piece of leather or vinyl.

Type911 sell a new hinge for £14.00 if it is the hinge itself that has snapped. Listed here:

and a pic of it here:

Or if you are going to keep breaking it why not just replace it with one of these from Prestige Parts (£50 direct or cheaper if you spot one on EBAY)

They cost the same £14 from the dealer if you want to save hassle - assuming you have a local dealer!

Personally I'd say that a repair will look like exactly that, although the cup holder thing looks OK if you don't mind not having a lid (but stuff would blow out of it when the roof is down).
A 968 ClubSport one has no lid nor cup holder.
