I've just discovered the power steering belt has cut through the coolant hose []

I'm going to bodge fix as best i can so i can get it to the garage tomorrow but jeez c'mon cut me some slack. lol

Are you sure it's the belt that's done it? On the white car I regularly had problems with the power steering pulley cutting through the lower rad pipe, never quite sure why (although the hose swells slightly with age and then gets close), my guess was that the engine mounts were too soft compared to the rest of the car, but even then the gap was visibly smaller than a lot of other 944s i've looked at. In my case the only long term solution was to shorten the lower rad hose!

I've bodged the leak with all sorts, some tape has got me back from Silverstone before now, just keep the heater on and make sure the air doesn't run cold...

Bugger! Well be thankful that your breakdown was a hose and not something more serious at least.

Skoob you'd better get that fixed by May 2. 4 Porshces and a skooby is going to look odd in a convoy isn't it? I have your ticket and grandstand pass. You owe me £24.

924nutter, It'll look wierder than you think!! Skooby isn't a Skooby (per se), it's an anagram of the number plate on my Triumph Stag [:)]

I'm getting it replaced tomorrow but have bodged it to get me home. Also can you PM me your details so i can give you the deniro.... Muchos Gracias.

Agreed poprock, My one is sort of a half mine half my dads...But i ended up with it about 3 years ago when the purchase of a 924 went wrong (it had a twisted chassis). Beautiful car that gets respect from almost any "Marquephile".
