Artic Pack

Hello - I've been a menber for 5 years - Boxster S owner. Now looking at 996 Dec 03 car with a good spec and only 17000m. Advert includes 'Artic Pack' what's that please?

Thanks Michael - what confused me was that the ad states Ali pack as well as Arctic Pack. The car is Seal Grey with black leather interior so the ali bits on hand brake, gearstick surround and top face vents looks nice to my eye. It also has ali surround the the instrument cluster. Instruments are white. It also has leather air bag to the steering wheel which I'm told is an expensive extra.

The Ali pack is either "small" - handbrake trim & gear lever trim or large - other bits of switch covers, door handles etc. I suspect the artic will be the centre console in body colour. Of course, if it's not a silver car, then I'm talking bollox. My old Targa had the small ali pack as a factory fitted option.

IMO the alloy hand brake & gearlever really lift the cabin, look great, they are REAL alloy. But the Ali packs (small & large) aren't real alloy, they are plastic with a silver finish trying to look like alloy & failing!!! Personally don't like them because they look like chunks of plastic, at least when they are black as standard the plastic blends in!

Of course some love it so go with what you like!
