Artic Silver - does anyone know

The bin lids on my recently purchased Boxster are a bit worse for wear. I was planning on replacing them with " Artic Silver" bin lids advertised on most Porsche parts sites. Does anyone know if this Artic Silver is the same colour/polish etc as the aluminium door handles and gear stick that come as standard on the 2.7?

Cheers

No they would be the same colour as the artic silver paint - the external bodywork colour. This is also offered as an option on cetain trim items - center console, radio/aircon surround, air vents etc.

hummm - so would look pretty naff then as Boxster is metallic black, Savannah leathter interior and door handles and gear stick are aluminium. Do you know of any sites that just do the plain (rather plasticey looking) bin lids.

If you can wait until the Eynsham event, there are usually lots of companies selling items such as these. (Prestige Parts and Design 911 are two that come to mind).

You could then see if the parts they offer match what you are looking for, and you should also be able to find a car or 2 that have the factory parts to compare.

Cheers Mark. Don' t know if I can make the event, but will keep looking around for the parts.

Cheers guys. Spoke to Simon yesterday. He reckons the Artic silver is pretty close to the aluminium already in as standard in the car. I will get the bin lids and see how close it is! Thanks for your help.
