Hello I posted a reply about the Le Mans topic reply below.
Can you get in touch, and explain please.
This isn't really something to discuss on the forum, hence the Board keeping out of it. A lot of exaggeration and politicking are going on here.

It was all discussd at the last Worker's conference, so speak to your RO or RS if you want to know why Le Mans was allowed to become such a huge financial risk, and why that has to be considered in the current climate, and why it could not be agreed how it was possible to reduce the costs.

If it was me I'd probably appreciate a call or a personal e-mail, rather than a "please contact me" demand on a forum that your RO might not even use? [8|]

There was no demand, I was trying to find out about it FORGET IT .

It was a copy of your email in the first place.

I posted the original question about the Le Mans tickets and what became of them. My post wasn't to start a discussion nor a debate, it was simply a question that only needed an answer.
No information equals rumours, if the rumours gain creedance then they becomes 'truths'

No-one with the answer has had the courtesy to either reply on the forum or email me or contact me with an answer. My phone number is in Porschefile in case someone needs it!

Cheers,

You cannot win with the PCGB Fred I asked a question and look at the reply I got.

I think many members, will reply with their wallets come membership time like myself.

Fred

Maybe you will find your answers in this thread http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=446784&mpage=1&key=&#446784

It was posted when the Le Mans ticket was taken off Ebay.

Sorry about that Fred. I'm afraid I don't read every single thread from end to end although, as Harriet has pointed out, it was answered in the appropriate thread. My number is in Porsche File as well.

Hi All

I feel it a little unreasonable to expect any member of the Board to respond to all of the threads that stream onto the "Forum".
The situation with Le Mans has always been difficult as far as finance is concerned right from the beginning when the Board that ,I was a member of ,proposed the support of a Member benefit and helped to finance the first full Club based site.

The event has grown over the years due to the hard work of Bob Lovelace and his team of volunteers with support from the Board of the day, however the fnancial risk has also grown due to the high expectation of Members which has also led to the even higher risk due to the current financial downturn.

The Board have tried to be prudent and protect the Club from this risk, and I believe have discussed this at length with Bob.

A phone call or personal email to a Board Member would (IMO) be a fairer way to get an answer rather than making unfair judgments on the Forum.

Lets face it I did not stand for election to the Board because I could see that this year was going to be hard even before you take into account the "inherited problems" that this Board have had to deal with, so I do have a high degree of sympathy for this Board.

Please remember the Board are Members just like us and are volunteers and need all the support they can get.

HAVE FUN

It's that attitude that gets people annoyed in the first place. I can't even talk to you by name as you refuse to have the common courteousy to include it in your profile. []

What I mean is, if you have a question, ask the person involved directly. Most of us prefer that people pick up the phone rather than moaning on forums!

ORIGINAL: SEE YA

I was not moaning, I just asked a question name or no name would that change the answer?.

Well come membership time for me I will forget it.

The end

Gawd, I give up, hiding names and silly smiley faces is a lot too close to Brett for my liking anyway.

All I did was suggest an answer, without the bold type and using my own name. That's the kind of guy I am, open and honest, happy to talk and always trying to play the middle-ground to find a compromise.

You asked the question, it was suggested you talk to your RO or RS. If you can't do that in real life, and it's so serious you quit the Cub over it rather than pick up the phone and call one of us, I don't see how anyone could do anything more to help you? [&o]

I do not know, who this other chap is now my logo is not to your taste sorry. So I came under attack for that from you about my logo etc.

Lets end this before it goes OTT. I only asked a question and did not phone the RO sorry. You have made some good points, which agree with about LeMans cost wise.

The End
