At last - first drive!

F'irst drive on Sunday back from OPC Leeds - usual wet collection!

Very impressed drive vastly improved and lots more 'poke' and now sounds like a porker. Interior greatly improved - switches all in right place and better than first model. Small point - 2 electric points in cab - told not to use cigarette lighter for snooper. Definitely more leg room for the taller person - more space behind my seat.

Seats have lumbar adjustment and more comfortable with higher back. Handy to have the cup holders but not much good for gin bottle. Comes with a pen holder but where is the pen? maybe Porsche cannot afford it - did get an umbrella this time to fit in passenger door well.

The radio and CD information appears on rev counter dial - computer seems easy to work. A friend who spotted me today posing along the sea front said it looked much bigger than the last one and he could tell a difference with the new model - although not a porsche owner.

Favourable comments from John and Glynn at Specialist Cars Malton who are going to Zymol the car for me this week. One concern they expressed is the large air ducts at front and the lights - any suggestions as the radiator and air con units are at risk from missiles.

Cannot wait for the warmer weather to try it topless [8D][8D][8D]

So a good experience then!

On the point about 2 power sockets - I only spotted one (in the box under the arm rest), where's the other?

And where are we supposed to plug in our snoopers, if not there?

The second power outlet is in the passenger footwell - on the side of the centre console (an Ideal place to plug in the detector and PocketPC-GPS I would have thought...)

Music to my ears...I didn't want to spoil the interior with my Road Angel (6 points!!) and lose my PDA SatNav...not paying £1800 for Porsche's (although looks the biz!!)
