At Last - Ive bought a 993

Ive looked at quite a few but sadly for one reason or another they just didn't come up to the mark.

Once in a blue moon an opportunity arises to purchase the exact spec, top condition car you are looking for backed up by a fastidious previous owner. Suffice to say I purchased the car and collected it this morning

It's a 1997 C2S in Arctic Silver with black leather interior, the car is low mileage at 20,400 miles I had a great drive home she felt VERY solid, suspension felt nice and compliant, steering precise, engine very strong with nice low down torque and sound from the the RSR's is gorgeous

The interior is as you would expect in a car with low miles and has the added bonus of hard back sports seats - nice!!

Ive taken tomorrow off to enjoy a long weekend of driving combined with a full clean up session, yes I'm another OCD nut. I will post some pics when its done but enclose (read try to) one from pick up this morning..

The most important point is to thank the previous owner and PCGB member, he is a real gent who has mothered the car and a true enthusiast - how lucky am I

Sorry for all the gushing guys but Ive had a great day, time to go for another blast me thinks

Your car looks superb, have a great time getting to know your beautiful new 993.

Beautiful car, I am awaiting a silver c2s same spec. Very jealous, it must be nice to have collected the car, the condition sounds almost too good to be true. Well done. Is it manual or tip? Look forward to seeing the more detailed pictures.

Thanks for the kind thoughts guys much appreciated. Hopefully lots of fun to be had over the weekend and I will post some more pics when I can. [;)]

Tp81 "" In answer to your question it's a manual..

Nice one.  Can we ask what you paid ?

Mark....I didn't ask him that, but I'll let you tell me when he tells you! [8|]

Awesome car Des, as Matt Monro sang:

"On days like these when skies are blue and fields are green
I look around and think about what might have been
and then I hear sweet music float around my head"

Perfect lyrics and a great track for driving a 993 to.....

Well I've managed to add 250 miles on top of yesterdays mileage and a few stone chips along the way, as for price it will have dropped about 2k [;)]

I purchased the car privately and not through a specialist/dealer all the same it was high end on price, I was happy and that's all that counts. Sure you will forgive me if I don't disclose an exact price [:)]

If you want a motor in top condition, be prepared to pay top price. At the end of the day as long as the purchaser is happy, that's what counts. Pound to a penny what you have paid someone else wouldn't have been prepared too. Their loss your gain!
Great looking car, enjoy [;)]

Gave it a once over on Friday and treated the leather etc, couple of pics enclosed..
