Atlas grey with coloured wheels?

Hi folks

Has anyone got a pic of an atlas grey boxster with either atlas grey wheels or black wheels on it.

OPC has offered to have my wheels done (cost to follow) and I was wondering what it will look like. I really fancy a nice shiny set of black boxter S wheels but dont kno if it will look to dark against the atlas grey car.

Opinions or pics pleaseeeeeeeeee

Thanks in advance

You could go onto the Porsche offical web site and use the car configuration in 3D. This gives you a 'picture' of wheels in the colour of the car. I have tried and it seems to work - subject to my somewhat temperamental computer.

Yeah i tried this but the colours seem a bit off.

And it doesnt capture the look really well i find.

Just hoped somone might have gone down that road first, OPC still hasnt got back to me with a price yet but im hoping the 3rd party they will use will be a damn sight cheaper than the factory option.

I looked at a 996 Targa is seal gray with wheels in the same colour in OPC Silverstone last week.... Unusual, but I think with a silvery colour, black would look awesome. Wasnt too taken with the seal grey rims - but they were nice in fairness

Yeah i like the idea of black with silver but the atlas grey is very very very dark.

A bit concerned that the slight diff between black wheels and the body might look a bit off.

So i think ill prob go body coloured.

On a side note i popped into to find out how much, and got a price from the dealer principle himself.

£300 + vat to take the wheels, take the tyres off and paint the wheels in my colour of choice and re-tyre them.
Quite a saving over the factory option.

Still havent found any pics , anybody helpppppppp!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I suppose that you are right; a 2.7 does not have the red calipers and atlas grey and dark wheels might be a bit too much.

However, have you considered buying [fairly cheap] black wheel nut covers? The contrast of atlas grey, silver alloy wheels and black wheel nut covers might be quite good.

To be honest never thought about colouring my nuts.[:D]

Still in too minds as to what to do. But think ill prob go with atlas coloured wheels.

I just happen to think that dark wheels always look a bit more sporty and purposeful.

How about a seal grey with colour coded carrera's ? (pic hopefully attached!)
