Atlas or Cobalt

Having decided that I have to go with my gut on interior colour - black, now working from the inside out.

I am looking at both ends of the blue spectrum.

Cobalt is vibrant and would feel fun on a sunny day.

Atlas is classy.

So, which one?

If its Atlas then be quick - i hear its a special colour from MY08 - so that'll be £1400 to you sir !!

I love atlas, rarely looks grey, looks black in the winter month and has a subtle blue hue in bright sunlight. Cobalt a nice colour, looks good in winter months, not too bright in sunshine and always going to be popular come resale.

Does Cobalt not look a bit too much like the colour that the Honda Jazz comes in?! My mum has one......

Cobalt is darker than the bright Honda blue and personally I love the colour on my Boxster, having seen it on a couple of 911's I always find it looks really good, especially in bright sunlight.

No, nothing like the Honda blue at all...

(my new Turbo will be cobalt as I think it deserves a striking colour)

although i have atlas and love it and wouldnt have changed it([:D]unless it wouldve been £1400 extra!)i do also like cobalt-nice deep rich blue

I have an Atlas 997 at the moment, and I owned a Colbolt 996.

In my mind the Colbolt wins every time, its a perfect colour for the 911.

I would have bought a colbolt blue in the 997 if I could have found one at the time

But hayho, there's always next time

I went for Cobolt Blue - don't see many 997's on the road in this colour.

Atlas grey looks great when the car is clean, not so good when dirty!

have a new car on order have been looking at colours advised by porsche centre atlas grey hard colour to match if repaired also cobalt blue was launch colour for turbo matket flooded
gt silver with cocoa or black and black

I bought an estoril blue 3 series beemer a few years ago and had a special colour carribbean blue applied to my Audi allroad both were remarkably like Porsche cobalt (OPC even passed my allroad on as cobalt blue). Both looked stunning, both suffered the worst stone chipping of any car I've owned. The BMW forums had several threads about why Estoril was prone to the "rash". However had silver cars and wife's 2 year old Touareg is light grey and hardly a chip to be found. Cobalt is fantastic I've always been smitten by it but would think twice in future due to being prone to pebble rash (although there is always the 3M clear protective film to preserve that paintwork).

May be some Cobalt owner would like to pass on thier paintwork experiences.
