I agree - looks nice. Burgundy interior in a white car looks ace! (I never thought I'd say that) Fuchs as well.

Naughty. For those who can't be arsed to trawl though 12 pages of inane wittering on Crackheads, the long and the short of it is that a guy bought this for over 13 grand at the last Barons sale, then checked the paperwork, only to find it had had an 80,000 mile haircut at some point. It's back in the latest sale, no-one knows if he managed to back it, or whether it's being re sold on his behalf, but Barons have kept quiet about the mileage discrepancy.

Just read through that thread. This is disgusting that an auction house can be legally allowed to misrepresent a car in this manner. They should be forced by law to check the history of any car going through the auction to make sure the mileage is correct. Especially a car of this value!

Wow, just spent ages reading that post, makes for wacky reading at times!

Back to subject without getting into the nitty gritty of that thread, this car still seems well worth a look - as always said on these forums, buy on condition (at the right price).

I wouldnt mind a look myself, apart from:

1. I'm not too keen on white cars (so apologies anyone who loves them)!
2. I'd prefer a late model turbo (have I said that correctly, meaning a 250 bhp turbo?).
3. As much as I love my S2 I may put it up for sale, to buy a 996 TT (don't flog me for that!!).
4. My missus won't let me have two Porsches!!!

I kind of wondered why this car was being put through the auctions - not that I have anything against auctions, besides my daily driver was bought at one. I would never buy blind though.

On the plus, one of the first 944s I ever drove was an early white turbo, but signs rusty sills put me off. A white 944 would be my 2nd choice in colour though. This looks good, love the wheels, but needs a good look over.

4 of the best cars I've owned - 83 Capri 2.8 injection turbo, white. 86 Escort S1 RS turbo, white. 87 Sierra RS Cosworth, white. 91 Porsche 944 turbo, white. Do I like white cars [:D].

Ah yes but apart from that it's a "very very original genuine unmolested example". They've even included a before pic with the original side repeaters on to prove it.

It's a stock photo. They only bought it yesterday, so they probably haven't collected it from Baron's yet. Perhaps they'll check the paperwork properly soon.
