Going under the hammer at Anglia Car Auctions classic sale tomorrow, might be of interest to someone who wants one.

Yes definitely a Manta. Had a couple of Monzas back in the day, lovely cars.

The 944 looks good, what colour is that ?

Looks like diamond blue I think.

I'd id be interested to see what it makes, I have 250bhp car on eBay auction just now with less miles in as good or better condition that I'm hoping does as well..

I'd agree with Diamond Blue, same colour as my 951 - 1987 only colour for a 944.

Looks like a nice example in the photos, be interesting to see what it made.

I was thinking more like £20K at auction, given the inflated prices people are paying for top-end cars at auction.

I think the site's advert really let the car down there. So little detail, but why would you offer a car like that through auction unless it had a lot of detail to sell it?

On the face of it, I think someones got a steal there. Goes to show that creating an advert well can so increase the price you sell for.

Wrong wheels, dodgy colour IMO, still worth that if it was straight and not rotten, not for me though.

I think that's on it's toes for a 220bhp car with sub 120k on it. If it was a 250 car with 100k that could be ok.. but at over £12k inc the hammer, get it home, fix the snag list (paint, service, parts, labour) and you'll be up over £13k very quickly. Nowhere to go with it costing £13k with those miles and that colour.. No one is going to give more than £12k for that car, and it'll need to be mint and ready to go otherwise you get chipped back more. Basically- The auction just retailed that car.

On the subject.. Our 944TSE was won on ebay by a total timewaster so we are going to enter it in a proper auction, it's going to Morris Leslie in Perth for next Saturday Classic sale where we hope it will attract some attention, it'll certainly be one of the cleanest and well presented (detailed) cars in the whole sale. Happy bidding!

.....and after the commercial break.... quite like the colour, maybe that is it's value, something's only worth what someone will pay for it, and someone did. Iif a retailer can't sell one that's clearly better for more then he's in the wrong business.
