Audio Install / Interior trim removal

Hi,

I picked up some audio gear yesterday that I want to install hopefully this weekend. Should be relatively straight forward I think but I will need to run Aux and remote power leads from the back of the head unit to the boot... any recommendations on the best route to take?

Secondly anything to watch out for when removing interior trim/ carpets etc ? Am I likely to break any clips that I will need to replace to put things back together?

I had my amp professionally fitted, but from tracing the wires back, it looks as though they run from the head unit, behind the dash to the passenger side, and down under the footwell carpet. From there, under the carpet along the left side of the cabin and surfacing again at the back-left corner behind the fold-down seats. The wires then run under the boot carpet to my amp (which is mounted vertically inside the spare wheel).

You could follow the original wires in the car ? In my s2 they run from the front into the side carpets just before the door which are held in place with Velcro, then from there they run under the carpet which is under the plastic sill trim( these need removing with great care as they split and break []) the wires then go behind the rear quater panel cover and then back behind the rear carpet...Hope this helps.[]
