Very interesting meeting. How many new ideas in 1 night brilliant.
Now will it continue?
PS Did anyone else see that Phoenix last night![;)]

HI Greg

I agree it was very interesting and I'm sure that enthusiasm will continue as we have some great members and we are all keen to see the club thrive.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to say a BIG THANK YOU to Nick for serving the club so well and being such a great bloke over the last seven years.

Well done Nick

Agreed with what's been said, Nick has held it together for 7 or so years and made it into the region it is. We can't and won't let it fail now.

Apart from the tinge of sadness following Nick's announcement I actually enjoyed last nights meeting, when we all muck in get our sleeves rolled up and share the workload I think we can achieve much more. Onwards and upwards

Sorry I was unable to get to this week's meeting - I obviously missed something important !
Is someone able to puit a note on this site ( for the benefit of those who were not there) to inform us of the main items that were discussed ?

Chris

HI Chris

Not really sure if its my place to do this but i can't see it will cause any harm.

Nick announced that he would be retiring from the role after the Raby do.

We then discussed what would happen.
There were no volunteers to take on the role of RO directly which needs to be sorted but there were quite a few volunteers to form a committee and to try to sort out different roles and responsibilities.
Neil is collating a list of the types of things we need to do to fulfil the role, in the meantime i volunteered to submit the information for porsche post if the group would feed things in to me and someone told me how to submit it to porsche post as the group felt that we needed to reestablish our presence there.

There was a lot of discussion about things we could try to do which resulted in agreement to getting together after Raby and collating a list of events for the coming year to submit to the post and to email all current members with the list. This covered trips out to involve partners and the start of a regular monthly run out in the cars

We still need volunteers for Raby for the car parking duties.

I offered to post asking for people for the access all areas (i think Moira and Graham are on holiday please correct me if i'm wrong?).

To the others who were there I think that sums it up but if i've got anything wrong or missed anything please put me right.

Julie

Thanks Julie for that useful summary - sorry to hear that Nick is relinquishing the role of RO after all his sterling work, and hope that he will continue as a member.
You are welcome to have my car at raby for 'Access' - it's not good enough for the show and shine !

Chris
